| Fishing with Reel Inn in Panama, in the Gulf of Chiriqui at the end of every years is interesting. It is a transition season with the Marlin, Sails & Dorado showing up in December…and the good news is that the Yellowfin Tuna never really left!! So on any particular day you might catch Tuna in the morning & Marlin in the afternoon…EXCELENT FISHING!! Our last fishermen from Germany caught 25 different varieties of fish!! Tuna, Sailfish, Dorado, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper & 20 MORE!! The reports of lots and lots of Dorado dominates our fishing report right now. We have actually resorted to Catch & Release on the Dorado, just because we don’t need any more fillets! We have just joined in a tagging program for Dorado here in Panama…maybe making fishing even better. Good numbers of Sailfish releases, as well as Marlin releases! Offshore, jut good old fashioned Rod Bending almost all day! We actually were relieved when the rod bending slowed down. Inshore…well if you have the right guys running your boat…you should find fish. We Have the right guys & they Do find fish! Mostly, this is a live bait fishery for Roosters, Cubera, & many other species of fish. Those who care to cast Big Boy poppers at these fish…will be rewarded!! |
